Facilities Services maintains a small fleet of vehicles available for low cost rental to faculty, staff, and student organizations for College business trips and College sponsored activities. Rentals are $10 per day, plus 22 cents per mile. Faculty and staff must make arrangements through their department budget administrator. Students and student organizations must make arrangements through their Commons office, or the office of the Center for Campus Activities & Leadership (443-3103).
Drivers must have a College driver's license and a valid motor vehicle license from their state of residence. Student drivers must also fill out a Trip Departure Form. Driver safety training is a prerequisite for obtaining a College license. Training and testing can be arranged by contacting the campus Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator at 443-5726. Trip departure forms are obtained from the Public Safety office.
Vehicle reservations are first come, first served. Availability is limited, so please make your reservation well in advance of your planned departure date. When a college vehicle is not available, we will represent you in renting vehicles from Enterprise Rent-a-Car or Thrifty Car Rental. These "outside" rentals are charged at Enterprise and Thrifty rates. Drivers must be 18 years old for Enterprise rentals, and 21 years old for Thrifty rentals.
As a courtesy to our customers we make every attempt to gas vehicles prior to departure; however, our workload may sometimes prevent our ability to provide this level of service. Please check the fuel gauge before leaving! We ask that all customers fill vehicles before returning them. Each key ring is equipped with a key to the Service Building gas pumps. Your willingness to refuel is greatly appreciated by Facilities staff and your fellow renters!
