Nothing relevant discovered in day-long search; the police say effort will resume when conditions warrant
The Middlebury Police Department reports that a ground search of the campus that began at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, was suspended at 6 p.m. that day and that "nothing relevant to the missing person investigation was discovered." The police said plans are under way to resume the full-scale search as soon as conditions warrant.
"In the interim, smaller scale area scans and searches will continue," according to a Middlebury Police Department news release. "The missing person investigation will resume (Friday, March 28) in an effort to develop any information relevant to the manner and cause of Nick (Garza)’s disappearance."
