Develops initiatives to strengthen the College's environmental studies major, toward the goal of becoming the finest undergraduate environmental studies degree program in the country.
Develops meaningful student internship programs with local, regional and state government offices.
Increases opportunities for summer field research for ES students.
Works in conjunction with the Recycling Coordinator and Facilities Management to expand the College's successful recycling program.
Develops a summer credit-awarding program that combines field work and public policy issues for undergraduate students.
Develops an M.A. program along the lines of BLSE, through which secondary teachers can earn an M.A. through courses offered in literature, the natural sciences, public policy, and GIS and cartography.
Integrates more routinely the work of the Environmental Council into the College's administrative deliberations.
Explores ways the College can work more closely with town and state agencies both to develop and preserve our own and surrounding environmental resources in ways that are beneficial to all parties.
Increases fundraising among alumni who support the College's efforts in the environmental arena and develops an active network among this group.
Increases grant proposals to foundations and corporations to assist College priorities in environmentally related areas.
