*Promotes positive public relations and first impression of Middlebury College to visitors and callers.
*Interviews, hires, trains and supervises support staff and student workers.
*Manages tour guide program (conducts interviews, hires and trains guides).
*Coordinates computerized appointment system for professional staff and over 4,000 visitors annually, while maintaining parallel manual system to ensure accuracy and protect against system failure.
*Assists in coordination of alumni interview assignments and college fair assignments, involving supervising alumni volunteers and student workers.
*Serves as liaison between admissions staff, alumni chairpersons and approximately 2,500 alumni volunteers.
*Ensures proper coverage and level of customer service.
*Assists in the preparation of office budgets and monitors budgets on a monthly basis.
*Keeps informed as to Middlebury policies and requirements to answer visitor questions.
*Oversees all phone calls and emails directed to Admissions to ensure proper responses.
*Provides office support for the Director of Admissions and Dean of Enrollment Planning.
