Primary Purpose

Assists the Vice President for Administration & Treasurer in the performance of his duties.

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

* Must be able to work cooperatively with others and accept direction from supervisors.


*Oversees the direction of business services departments including Dining


Services, College Store, Mailing Services and Reprographics, SnowBowl and Golf Course.


Oversees personnel, sets priorities, trains and evaluates staff.


*Develops departmental budgets for each area and monitor expenses.


Establishes standards and quality control for work performances.


Oversees special projects as assigned.


Administer the college housing and mortgage programs


Administers the colleges Trade and Service Marks


Administers the colleges photocopy machines progarm


*Represents Treasurer at meetings on and off campus.


Responsible for vendor relations on telephone system and College's long distance resale program.


Oversees and supervises the College Forester in maintaining the College's woodlands and farmlands through various environmental, recreational and educational programs.


*Oversees College's general insurance programs including risk management and safety officer.


Works with the College Advancement and Treasurer on deferred gifts of real estate.


Operates on behalf of the Treasurer in the purchase, sale and development of real estate.


Oversees the colleges contract with laundry vendor


*Reviews and signs contracts on behalf of the College.


*Functions as signatory on bank accounts and stock transactions for the College.


Performs other related responsibilities as assigned.


 

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration required.

Experience

5-10 years of managerial experience required.

Knowledge

Knowledge of  insurance, real estate, general business practices and overall College operations, policies and procedures necessary.

Other

Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet fashion.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
