* Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from Costume Director and Costume Designer.
* Shares supervision of the workroom with the Costume Director. This includes: teaching costume construction skills to students enrolled in production and design classes; supervising students enrolled in production classes; providing feedback for student evaluations in these classes; training and supervising paid student workers; assuring the safety of students working in the costume shops and storage spaces, when they are working under direct supervision.
* Maintains costume equipment and costume shops
* With the Costume Director, measures all students cast in faculty productions
* Working independently, creates original patterns for productions.
* Uses each actor' specific measurements to accurately create or modify costume patterns.
* Cuts, constructs, fits and finishes costumes for faculty productions.
* Alters or supervises the alteration of pre-existing costumes.
* Responsible for the completion of assigned costumes by first dress rehearsal.
* Responsible for the presentation of all costume pieces needed in the fitting room by the time scheduled.
* Assists designer as needed.
* Responsible for note taking.
* During dress rehearsal weekdays, assists the Costume Director in the execution of the designer's rehearsal notes.
* Time permitting, assists with the maintenance and cataloguing of inventory.
* Assists with special projects as they arise, such as ACTF and PTP.
* Pulls and transports costume pieces from Wright Theater and CFA basement as needed.
* Organizes and prepares all retail and rental returns.
* Responsible for providing/returning receipts of all transactions to the other members of the costume staff Summer: Assists with designing and costuming approximately 6-8 shows averaging 125 actors over the six-week Language School programs.
