Primary Purpose

To provide general support to the Alumni and Parent Programs Office, alumni, parents and staff.

To provide administrative assistance to the Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations and the Executive Secretary of the Middlebury College Alumni Association.

To provide all administrative support to the Middlebury College Alumni Association.

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

Serves as the primary interface for alumni to the College. Answers and directs calls and emails for the department. Responds to alumni and parent requests, solves problems and redirects calls as necessary. Advises alumni on how to register for and use the on-line community. Assists with id requests.

Assists with the process of registration and housing for reunion, alumni college, homecoming and alumni golf.

Maintains department calendar and staff schedules.

Assists the Associate Vice President and Executive Secretary including travel planning, calendar scheduling, preparation for events, managing RSVPs, providing biographical reports on attendees, completing Banner contacts.

Provides all administrative support to MCAA. Coordinates meeting locations, meals, materials and travel. Maintains nominations, timelines and serves as record keeper.

Supports Alumni Officer with student training on Banner, phones and other office protocol.

Provides general project and planning support as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Training

High school diploma required.  College preferred.


Experience

2-3 years previous experience in service-oriented field.

Knowledge

Knowledge of database software essential. Proof reading and editing skills a plus. 


Other

Must be able to manage multiple and competing projects on an on-going basis.  Must be able to work weekends as necessary.
