*Supervises and oversees all phases of meal production and works with all kitchen personnel to ensure proper quality and quantity of food production and meal preparation in a timely manner.
Reviews all incoming products for freshness to ensure food quality.
*Completes daily production sheets for Dining Service area.
*Trains cooks and kitchen staff in proper meal production techniques and food preparation.
*Ensures the highest standards in sanitary kitchen procedures, food preparation and storage are maintained.
*Oversees all cooks during meal preparation.
Researches and tests "new" menu items for board plan.
*Checks food for taste, consistency and healthy presentation.
*Performs other duties as assigned to assist the department in obtaining and maintaining its mission.
