Primary Purpose |
|
Responsible for oversight of the areas of finance and accounting, human resources, and operations.
|
Responsibilities |
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.
As the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President's responsibilities include the areas of financial planning, revenue and expenditure analysis, execution of the budget and overall fiscal stewardship.
Reporting to the Vice President are the Controller, Director of Human Resources and the Director of Operations.
The Vice President will routinely communicate with trustees, faculty, staff, students, alumni and external constituencies on all fiscal matters and will report to the Executive Vice President and Treasurer.

Advanced degree preferred.

Experience |
|
7-10 year successful track record of providing fiscal management in a complex, multi-faceted organization, preferably within higher education.

Knowledge |
|
Ability to maintain Middlebury's financial equilibrium. Strong strategic planning and analytic talents.
