Primary Purpose

Manage all technology as it relates to human resources functions, with a broad practical, as well as, visionary human resources perspective, in order to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Supports both Middlebury College and Monterey Institute on the Banner System.

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

*Provide a strategic and operational focus on information technology within human resources by initiating and supporting process improvement and efficiency activities. Provide expertise and direction in departmental efforts.


*Responsible as functional lead for Banner to implement upgrades, resolve functional challenges, and works with Payroll, ITS, and Budget Office to coordinate testing plans.

Performs on-going analysis of human resources data, identifies issues, and assists in the coordination of the department data integrity to ensure compliance

*Provide initial and on-going training to HR and others in the use of information systems (Banner, Hyperion, WTE, Employee Self Service)

*Serve as primary liaison with LIS staff for all technology related issues. Serve as HR member on LEAEDS committee, campus Data Integrity Group, and Hyperion Reporting team.

*Reporting: Create reports and train others on basic reporting issues and needs. Facilitate the development of advanced reporting needs

*Documentation: Coordinates and/or develops the creation and maintenance of human resources information, including updating documents provided by vendors and in-house documents related to departmental procedures.

*Act as Security Administrator for HR Module.Responsible for granting appropriate access to any and all HR data campus wide.

*Administers the tuition cash grant program. Assist faculty and staff with questions on correct program details

*Plans, coordinates and oversees annual 25 Year Club dinner

Provide support for development and maintenance of ancillary information systems as required by departmental needs.

Performs other duties as assigned to assist the department in obtaining and maintaining its mission.

Education & Training

Bachelors degree or combination of Associates degree and 3-5 years of experience with Human Resources information systems. Banner training preferred

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of broad based professional human resources experience with exposure to multiple functional areas.  Previous experience with windows-based HR information systems required.

Knowledge

General understanding of windows operating environment and various web platforms required strong background in Microsoft Office suite required.

Other

Ability to use a computer for extended periods each day.
