Primary Purpose

Maintains integrity of Human Resources database by applying a thorough knowledge of the system, being an active participant in departmental business processes and engaging with the broader campus community on shared data projects.

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

Departmental Business Processes

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the Banner HR database and its relationship to HR business practices.
  • Responsible for interpreting results of business processes and entering and maintaining accurate data records.
  • Active participant in departmental data integrity program, run established reports, audit data input, identify and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of departmental process documentation.
  • Support HRIS Analyst with routine table maintenance, security class assignment, monthly reporting and upgrade testing.
  • Maintains HR Web page, develops and updates all HR-related pages.

Campus Data Processes

  • Primary contact for staff Web timekeeping process, including testing and troubleshooting problem areas and ongoing upgrades.
  • Works with Payroll Manager on existing time entry issues to ensure payroll process is completed in a timely fashion.
  • Identifies and corrects any errors associated with time records, CTO, or time approval issues, including troubleshooting and setup.
  • Assists with Campus-side project such as: print and web Directory, data requests (mailing labels, employee lists/reports), and interfaces with other data systems (public safety, Openhire, etc.).
  • Provides customer service to internal and external customers on HR related topics.

Education & Training

Associate's degree required.



Experience

3-5 years of administrative experience with emphasis on technology-based human resources operations.

Knowledge

Knowledge of a variety of software applications with an emphasis on troubleshooting strongly preferred.

Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Hyperion, BANNER, CMS are all helpful.

 

Other

Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, stressful environment required. Excellent organizational, technological, and communications skills required. Must handle confidential matters with appropriate discretion. Must be able to work at a computer for several hours a day.
