Primary Purpose |

The Research Assistant collects and reports information about Middlebury College to internal and external audiences.
|
Responsibilities |
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.
- Searches for data using traditional and Web resources.
- Completes important surveys in hardcopy and electronic formats.
- Prepares textual, graphic and tabular materials for presentations and reports.
- Updates and expands the College fact book in hardcopy and electronic formats.
- Develops and maintains comparative information.
- Develops and maintains a set of College indicators.
- Analyzes First Year and Senior survey results.

Education & Training |
Bachelor's degree required.
|
Experience |
Prior exposure to the Web, research methods and to the administration of higher education is highly desirable.
|
Knowledge |
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SPSS or SAS.
|
Other |
Requires a systematic approach to problem-solving, good judgment and superior quantitative and analytical skills.
