Primary Purpose |

The Resident Coordinator works with American students at its Moscow site (Russian State University for the Humanities) for a period of 101/2 months, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. Middlebury College also has programs at Irkutsk State University and Yaroslavl Pedagogical Institute. The coordinator functions independently, but consults regularly by e-mail with fellow resident coordinators and with supervising staff in Moscow and Middlebury.

Responsibilities |
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.
Administration of the local office of the School in Russia, including monthly financial reports
Act as first contact for student problems
Serve as liaison between students and administration/professors of the host university
Serve as academic advisor/evaluator (some tutorial work may be required)
Organize and accompany students on field trips and excursions
Assist with orientations and debriefings

Bachelor's degree (minimum)

Ability to function independently
Interest in working with students
Fluent in Russian
In-country living and travel experience
Computer and e-mail skills (PC, Microsoft Word and Excel)
Student services or similar experience preferred
