Primary Purpose

Advises the Associate Provost for Institutional Diversity on issues related to the College's increasing diversity.


Undertakes special projects as assigned by the Associate Provost for Institutional Diversity.


 

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

 



    Identifies successful and unsuccessful diversity initiatives at other institutions.
    Selects institutions to visit and investigates their programs.
    Assists in recruiting minority students.
    Establishes relationships with new high schools for recruitment purposes.
    Establishes outreach programs to alumni from under-represented groups.
    Assists with the coordination of the Pan African-Latino-Asian-Native American (PALANA) center.
    Makes recommentaions for improvements in residential life and diversity-related initiatives.
  • Undertakes special projects as assigned.

 

Education & Training

Doctorate preferred.

Experience

 

Knowledge

Knowledge of judicial procedures and budgeting. Research and analytical skills.

Other

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Must handle confidential information in a discrete manner.
