Primary Purpose |
|
Oversees racing and coaching activities and ensure proper skiing conditions of Snow Bowl Ski Area.
|
Responsibilities |
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.
Makes snow at night and checks quantity of snow in ski areas.
Sets up and runs all races, including registration, course set-up and timing equipment.
Operates coin-operated race course, set course and timing equipment.
Coaches ski racers of all ages in various programs.
Assists in general maintenance of ski area.
Conducts general maintenance of ski area and facilities during off facilities.
Assists in development of racing programs and scheduled race events.
Ensures proper course setting and conditions for all races.
Operates heavy equipment for new construction.
Assists with lift and snow cat maintenance.

Education & Training |
|
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred. Must be trained and hold a ski course setters certification and coach's certification.

Experience |
|
Previous coaching experience required; must be experienced racer and top technical skier.

Knowledge |
|
Must maintain coach's license and/or certification and must keep up-to-date knowledge of course setting requirements and certification.
