Primary Purpose |
|
Oversees operation of the Rikert Ski Touring Center to ensure that the expectations of skiers and management are met.
|
Responsibilities |
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.
Handles general public relations for the Touring Center.
Meets with state and federal agencies representing Touring Center.
Controls inventory.
Recommends equipment and staffing and prepares department budget.
Hires, trains, supervises and schedules staff.
Approves time off, evaluates and manages employee relations.
Supervises voluntary race support personnel, ski instructors, trail maintenance workers and related staff members.
Develops Rikert Ski Touring Center program and services; oversees budget and equipment rental programs.

Education & Training |
|
High school degree required; bachelor's degree helpful.
|
Experience |
|
Background in skiing, 3-5 years experience in ski area management.
|
Knowledge |
|
Must be well-versed in Nordic skiing industry including related equipment, trail maintenance, course/racing programs and overall operations.

Other |
|
Good managerial and communication skills.
