Primary Purpose

Develops and manages the Ski School under the approval of the Snow Bowl Manager.

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

*Trains, selects and maintains a staff of approximately 50.

*Develops and maintains budget.

*Provides ski teaching services to the Middlebury College community and to the general public.

*Develops and promotes programs.

*Manages risk.

Develops policy and procedure.

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree. Full certification Professional Ski Instructors of America.

Experience

Supervisory experience. Ski teaching and coaching experience.

Knowledge

Must be knowledgeable about alpine ski equipment, telemark ski equipment, video and computer equipment.

Other

Must be able to show/demonstrate teaching techniques on the slope.
