Primary Purpose |
|
Develops and manages the Ski School under the approval of the Director.
|
Responsibilities |
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.
Trains, selects and maintains a staff of approximately 25.
Responsible for budget administration of wages for personnel.
Provides ski teaching services to the Middlebury College community and to the general public.
Develops and promotes programs.
Manages risk in regards to school programs.
Makes decisions on conditions of trails and whether or not to open them for use.
Develops policy and procedure for approval of Director.

Education & Training |
|
High school diploma, college degree preferred. Full certification from Professional Ski Instructors of America.
|
Experience |
|
Supervisory experience. Ski teaching and coaching experience.
|
Knowledge |
|
Must be knowledgeable about Nordic ski equipment, telemark ski equipment, video and computer equipment.
|
Other |
|
Must be able to show/demonstrate teaching techniques on the trails.
