Primary Purpose

Assist the Sports Medicine Director. Provide athletic training and rehabilitation services to athletes and provide on-field coverage of athletic events.

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

Assists the Director with decisions and responsibilities related to Sports Medicine policy and operational procedures.

Order supplies and maintain adequate inventory.

Assist with budget preparation and administration.

Evaluates, prevents, treats and rehabilitates students / athletes.

Prepare athletes for practice and competition by using assorted taping and wrapping procedures.

Oversee student staff coverage of the training room.

Hire and schedule student employees.

Maintain and upgrade the computer system.

record treatment and injury information.

Provide coverage at "home" athletic events and "away " events as scheduled, requiring much travel time.

Education & Training

Master's degree with concentration in athletic training is required.

Must be First Aid and CPR certified.

Athletic training training certification (NATA) also required.
