Welcome to Middlebury! I hope that your experience here will be rewarding. To avoid any misconceptions and misunderstandings, I am providing you the following brief on local ordinances and information that might be of some help to you.
The Middlebury Police Department has overall law enforcement jurisdiction for the entire town of Middlebury, which includes the Middlebury College campus. While the Police Department does not patrol the campus, our officers are occasionally there in response to calls for service or when needed for investigations or to assist Public Safety.
While the campus is not patrolled, many of the streets that bisect the campus are town highways that are patrolled by the police.
