NOTE: Students who are registering from study abroad register using BannerWeb, but do not NEED an Alternate PIN.

BannerWeb Access and Support: http://go.middlebury.edu/bannerweb

To provide optimal support during Registration, Middlebury has two servers configured for BannerWeb, which we monitor constantly to assure efficient load balancing.

Access to BannerWeb is available to anyone with a valid ID/PIN combination no matter where they are located on or off campus. We are aware that accessing BannerWeb from certain locations off-campus does present added challenges. These challenges are usually the result of atypical browser or hardware configuration, use of a proxy server, or other restrictions or policies regarding the use of secure web services. If you encounter such a problem when accessing BannerWeb from off-campus, we encourage you to contact local IT support, as they will be most familiar with any such restrictions that may be in place and how to work around them, if possible.

Advising Period: starts October 29, Thursday

Students should see their adviser during this period to plan their courses for the following terms and review major and college requirements. All students are encouraged to meet with their advisers.

Students who have less than 21 earned or in progress credits* as well as students who have not declared a major but have earned more than 21 credits, will be assigned an Alternate PIN.

Alternate PINs, a 4-digit number, can only be obtained from your academic adviser during the Advising Period. Students assigned an Alternate PIN are required to enter this 4-digit number in order to access the real-time, on-line Register or Add/Drop Classes screen in BannerWeb.

Students who are not currently enrolled at the Middlebury campus do not need an Alternate PIN to register.

Round One for Spring Registration--Check Your Registration Status:

opens: November 5, Thursday

closes: November 10, Tuesday (noon)

Students are strongly encouraged to use this round to be sure that you can register for the courses you want (i.e., no time conflicts, major or class restrictions, financial or evacuation plan holds, etc.) or to request approvals or waivers of major or class restrictions, if you need them, before your registration window opens. You should also check your class standing for the Fall 2009 registration term during this round.

You will be at a disadvantage if overrides of course restrictions, approvals, or concerns about class standing are not addressed during this round.
