How do Registration Windows work?

Registration Windows are opened by credit-based class standing, based on seniority.  Banner is "real-time" so course registration is first-come, first-served based on the registration windows noted on the table below.  Each new registration window will open at 7 a.m.Vermont time and is in effect for 24 hours before the next registration window opens.  Once your registration window opens, it remains open for the duration of the registration period and, depending on availability and course requirements, you can add and drop courses freely on-line during this time.

How will I know what my registration window is?

When you log on to your BannerWeb page during Round One or during web registration, on the "Check your Registration Status" page you will see a sentence that reads, e.g., "Your Class for registration purposes is ..." You will also see the dates and times that you are eligible to register.  It will be important for you to check this during Round One!

Remember, if you miss the opening of your registration window, you can still register during the registration period through 7 a.m. on the day registration closes.  The only drawback is that you may have missed out on some courses because other students who registered early during the window of opportunity registered for the course first.
