In 2002, as an alternative to landfilling useable, nonrecyclable items, the College opened its Reuse Trailer. The Reuse Trailer is a 48' tractor trailer accessed through the Recycling Center located @ 809 College Street.

The Reuse trailer is open to Middlebury College faculty, staff and students. Open hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30-4. Numerous text books plus plates and kitchen gadgets, office supplies, clothing, and occasionally larger pieces of furniture, lamps and rugs are available for a small charge.

In addition, during the months of May through October, we set up a second Reuse Trailer which we use for clothes, shoes, coats, and other soft goods.
