Pay Level Criteria
- Requires no previous training or special skills other than basic computer skills
- Requires minimum and finite on-the-job training
- Does not require supervision of others
- Requires some independence, but also some supervision
Specific Responsibilities
- Be familiar with information on bulletin boards, notebooks and files at the Info Desk and Student Activities Office (SAO), The Campus and campus posters.
- Act as a liaison and information person to guests or students as they enter the Campus Activities Office.
- Answer telephones. Relay correct information and, forward call to appropriate person.
- Forward requests for scheduling to CCAL assistant.
- Typing, computer input and filing, as necessary.
- Fill Xerox machine with paper at the beginning of the shift.
- Organize CCAL bulletin boards, discarding when necessary, so that they are easily read. Hang poster in McCullough and throughout campus.
- Complete mailings.
- Organize the Info Desk and sitting area on arrival.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
- Assist with some aspects of Middlebury Outdoor Orientation.
Length of Service and Application Process
- Summer, June2 to September 5, 2008.
- Accepting applications from Sophomores and Juniors and rising seniors.
- Complete and submit a Campus Activities application. Interviews will be arranged with selected candidates.
