Pay Level Criteria
Requires no previous training or special skills other than basic computer skills
Requires minimum and finite on-the-job training
Does not require supervision of others
Requires some independence, but also some supervision
Specific Responsibilities
Provide coverage of front desk during the lunch hour (slot is flexible between 11:30 and 2) for 1.5 hours Monday through Friday for a total of 8 hours.
Answer phones
Greet students and other visitors to CSO
Possibility for the occasional addition of a few extra hours at other times of day if needed
Make appointments using Microsoft Outlook
Provide brief explanations of career library resources (books and web site)
Be able to answer wide variety of questions on career-related topics (training will be provided)
Assist with data entry and various projects
Assist with other projects such as preparing CSO’s weekly Campus advertisement
Maintain order in office by checking and refilling paper in printers, photo copier, and fax machines as needed
General Event Attendance: The student selected for this position will be required to attend at least three specific CSO events during the year (more information will be available from the supervisor).

Must be able to work cooperatively with others and accept direction from supervisors
Computer experience essential, including word processing and strong familiarity with the Internet
Preferred candidate will have experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Must also be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
