THE WESTON A. CATE, JR. RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP


PURPOSE
To encourage research in Vermont history: support in a one-year research project pertaining to any aspect of Vermont history.

AWARD
$1,200 stipend; serious consideration for publication in Vermont History magazine for wining essays.  Final project expected at conclusion of fellowship period of one year from date of award.

ELIGIBILITY
All individuals.

SUBJECT
Vermont History.  Proposal should if possible involve use of Vermont Historical Society collections in library and/or museum. Applications that address topics designed to fill gaps in the state's history will be favored.
