SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATE STUDY IN SCOTLAND


PURPOSE

To promote cultural interchange and good will between Scotland and the United States.

AWARD

$15,000 for tuition, fees, and transportation for a year of graduate study in Scotland.

Institutions of higher learning in Scotland

ELIGIBILITY

Preference is given to candidates who have not previously studied in the United Kingdom and who reside or attend school within 250 miles of New York State.

  • US citizen
  • Graduating senior
  • Strong academic record
  • Some Scottish descent
  • Currently receiving grant aid

    APPLICATION PROCESS

    Eligible students may complete and submit a draft application based on the requirements on the St. Andrews Society Web site, including a statement of personal objectives and a résumé, by Monday, November 2, 2009.  Use this application form:

    Transcripts of all applicants are obtained by the Fellowships Office.
