NEW CAMPUS VOICE MAIL SYSTEM INFORMATION
On Thursday, August 20, 2009, our old voice mail system was deactivated and a new system named CallXpress took its place for faculty and staff use. Students no longer automatically receive a voice mailbox.
To make the transition easier, the new system emulates the touch-tone features of the old system.
Saved and new messages, recorded greetings, and existing security codes cannot be transferred from the old system, thus users need to re-record greetings and names. We are using the same access number, extension 2100.
The old voice mail system is accessible with a new access number 7500 until November 1, 2009, so you can listen to old messages.
Telephone Services provides landline voice services to the College including the main campus, the Bread Loaf campus, the Center for Educational Technology, Painter House, and the Marbleworks offices. Faculty and staff are offered local and long distance service and voice mailboxes. Students are provided a telephone line, and upon request, a voice mailbox can be assigned.
This website includes service descriptions, how-to guides for the telephone and voice mail systems, and sources for additional information. If you have questions after reviewing these pages, please call Telephone Services' Helpline at extension 5700 during business hours Monday through Friday. During off-hours, please leave a detailed message that includes your:
