Preparation
Welcome to Middlebury College's voice mail system. This guide will take you through the steps you need to complete before you can start to use your voice mailbox. It will also assist you in utilizing the voice mailbox system to its fullest potential.

Before you begin to use your voice mailbox, and in order to proceed easily, please prepare before you initiate your voice mailbox by:

Determining your New Security Code - This is a private code, four to eight digits long, that you will be required to enter each time you access your voice mailbox. This security code is one that you, and only you, will know (Telephone Services does not track security codes), so be sure to choose a code you will remember.
  • Writing a Personal Greeting - Your personal greeting will be what your callers hear before leaving a message in your voice mailbox. To record one that flows easily, we suggest that you write it down before you record it. It should be under 30 seconds long.
