Student Funding Database

This database includes internal and external funding sources for academic research, internship, and other creative educational opportunities at the undergraduate and post-graduate level. There are two search options:

Basic Search. This functions as a keyword search (e.g. "Rhodes Scholarship"; "Arts"; "Washington"). You may get slightly different results depending on your word choice (e.g. "environment" vs. "environmental"), so seeing the full range of options may require some experimentation.

Advanced Search. Use this option when you have multiple selection criteria. Fill in one or several of the selection criteria below. The program will only display those opportunities that meet all of your criteria, so the fewer you select, the larger your list will be. The following instructions might help your search:

  • Hold down the "Control" button to choose multiple options within one criteria box.
  • Time of Opportunity. Refers to the timing of the opportunity, not your class year.
  • Applicant Class Year. If you are a Feb, read the details of each opportunity carefully to make sure that you are applying in the correct year.
  • Fields of Interest. Choose as many as apply to you.
  • Locations. Choose as many as apply to you.
  • Middlebury-funded only. Choosing "yes" will show only Middlebury College funding for Middlebury students; choosing "no" will show these as well as external funding opportunities.
  • International Students: All non-U.S. citizens should choose this option to see only those opportunities for which you are eligible.
  • Special Categories. Choose either of these categories to see only those opportunities that are limited to women or students of color.
