Introductory Remarks
President Ronald D. Liebowitz and Professor of Geology and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Research Patricia Manley will open the symposium with introductory remarks. Elana Wilson Rowe, Class of 2001, will then offer a brief keynote address on her experiences in the world of research. Elana earned her Middlebury degree in Russian and Geography, and completed a doctorate from the University of Cambridge in Geography. She is currently a senior research fellow at the Norweigan Institute of International Affairs.
