Middlebury College awards financial aid based on need to qualified applicants to the Bread Loaf School of English. During the summer of 2007, approximately 41 percent of Bread Loaf students received grants, with an average award of $2,973.
To be considered for a grant you must: 1) be accepted to attend one of the four campuses, and 2) have completed a Middlebury College Bread Loaf School of English Financial Aid Application, including all other requested documentation. All financial aid is based on financial need as determined by Student Financial Services.

All Bread Loaf students at all levels of study are eligible to apply for financial aid.
Financial aid is available in the form of grants and loans.
