Come and see us! Choosing a college is a big decision and we hope you will be able to take some time to explore our community here in Vermont.
Middlebury College welcomes visitors at the Admissions Office in the Emma Willard House at 131 South Main Street in Middlebury. Parking is available in the lot next to the Admissions Office or in the lot behind the Center for the Arts (campus map) a short walk from our office.
Important Note: There is significant Summer construction on Rt 125 between Ripton and Hancock, Vermont. If you are traveling from the Boston area or other points east, this construction will cause delay in your trip to Middlebury. We recommend taking an alternate route, such as taking I-89N to Exit 1, Quechee, and following Rt 4W to Rutland, to Rt 7N into Middlebury.
Information Sessions and Tours
Our information sessions begin at 9:30AM and 1:30PM. The tours leave Admissions at 10:30AM and 2:30PM. Starting September 12th, the morning information session time will change to 10:00AM, with tours at 11:00AM.
Saturday morning information sessions are held from July 9th through November 12th at 9:30AM, followed by the 10:30AM tour. Starting September 17th, the Saturday information session time will change to 10:00AM, with tours at 11:00AM.
If you would like to visit with a group of 10 or more, please fill out or group visit request form at least three weeks in advance. Please be advised that your request is pending approval by the Office of Admission. Visits are subject to the academic calendar and the availability of admission staff and student tour guides.
If you need any special accommodations, please contact Admissions at least two weeks in advance.
Visiting a Class
Prospective Students are welcome to visit classes. Please consult the course schedule and keep in mind that classes at the 100 or 200 level are most appropriate. Please arrive a few minutes before class, or email the professor in advance to ask permission, as there may be an exam planned or other reason why it would be best not to have visitors that day.
