Though Barbara did not graduate from Middlebury, she is surrounded by family that did. Her husband, Hugh ’57, recently retired as executive secretary to the alumni association, and her daughter and stepson graduated from Middlebury in 2001 and 1994 respectively. Barbara is originally from Michigan and earned her BA from Michigan State. From there she moved to Aspen, Colorado where she was a math teacher. In 1980, the Marlow family moved to Middlebury knowing that it would be a wonderful place to raise a family. Barbara began her work in the Admissions Office in 1983 and has been directing international admissions for many years. Barbara enjoys tennis, spending time with her two young grandsons and singing in a local women’s barbershop group.
