Reunion Volunteer Opportunities and Resources

If you clicked to this page, you must be curious about Reunion and volunteering. Thank you for your interest! Reunion has events for all ages, and the College plans much of the weekend every year, but we also count on our alumni volunteers—you—to get involved.

Each class has a Reunion committee that includes volunteers who work together to encourage classmates to attend Reunion via social media (mostly class Facebook pages), personal outreach, and class letters. Volunteers also encourage classmates to make a gift in support of the class Reunion effort and help plan a few class-specific events.

We have information on volunteer roles and tasks available here:

Reunion Staff

We also encourage you to be in touch with the staff team that will support your class committee during this Reunion year. Each class works with a member of the Alumni and Parent Programs staff and a member of the Annual Giving staff. If you would like more information about volunteering for Reunion, please be in touch using the contact information below.

Reunion Planning

Your Reunion team is here to help guide, advise, and support you. While much of the Reunion schedule consists of activities that recur annually, we encourage class volunteers to work with us to plan one or two class-specific events each Reunion.

Typical class activities include outings (hikes, bikes, walks, tennis, Frisbee, swimming at Lake Dunmore, etc.), memorial services, panels featuring classmates, and faculty talks.

Some classes also plan mini-Reunions during the year in areas where there is a concentration of alumni. Mini-reunions can help break the ice, build momentum, and increase attendance at Reunion Weekend.

When thinking about Reunion activities, please remember that planning events takes time. It is best to have firm ideas about your desired events in place by February 15. This timing allows the Alumni and Parent Programs staff to follow through with any necessary logistics and to work with our various campus partners to ensure a smooth Reunion weekend.

Please consider joining your classmates on your Reunion committee. We would welcome the opportunity to work with you!
