Join the Brownington Congregational Church as they celebrate the restoration of their building.

This historic church has served the Brownington area continuously since 1841.
Alexander Twilight, class of 1823, served as minister of the church from 1829-1836. Twilight was the first African-American to earn a degree from an American college or university. Alumni and friends of Middlebury are invited to the celebration on August 20 which includes performances from the Brownington Congregational Choir and Francois Clemmons, Middlebury artist-in-residence and Twilight Scholar.
