The Senior Committee is a group of senior leaders who will be given an insider’s view into the operation and needs of Middlebury College, while planning events that will build class unity and create a foundation for solid alumni participation.
The responsibilities of the senior committee fall into three categories. One key component will include the Senior Class Gift. This committee will spearhead the drive, soliciting suggestions for the class gift, conducting a poll, and assigning volunteers to encourage contributions from their peers.
The second component is the establishment of senior events for the year. Specifically, the committee will be responsible for planning the 200 and 100 days parties, organizing senior week events and other senior activities throughout the year.
The third component will include direct access to upper level college administrators. Through meetings with a featured dean, director, vice president, or president of the committee’s choice, members will learn about the inside operations of Middlebury, its finances, what excites people about serving the institution and how the College depends on actively engaged alumni.
