Play by Sam Shepard; Senior Work of Ben Fainstein '04 (directing) and Dan Eichner '04 (acting). A thief, a writer, a Hollywood producer, and a mother. A hoard of toasters, house plants, and whiskey all converge in a kitchen as cozy as a cell. In the scorching heat of the California summer, two brothers wrestle for power as they attempt to write a screenplay; their rapport becomes increasingly brutal as they search for something true amidst the wreckage of their fraternal and professional lives. Shepard's landscape is coarse, funny, and juxtaposes reality with ritual and tradition with treason.
