NPR's Ron Schachter came to Middlebury in late September to interview athletes, coaches and administrators. The feature discusses how Middlebury athletes and coaches have maintained a balance between sports and academics while enjoying tremendous athletic success.
Middlebury College Director of Athletics Russ Reilly is quoted in the piece as saying, "There are a lot of good X's and O's people out there. But our people have done a tremendous job of keeping things in a proper perspective-teaching intrinsic values of sport, along with life lessons."
