This summer Middlebury will replace Kohn Field, but the 95,000 square feet of astroturf that covered the field will find new life as it is parceled out for miniature golf courses and other recreational facilities. A big piece of the carpet–nearly 20% –will stay right in Middlebury as a gift to the town’s rec. center. The new Kohn Field will be no ordinary turf. WATCH VIDEO

Former Middlebury College director of athletics and coach Russ Reilly will be honored by the ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference). Commissioner Rudy Keeling announced that Reilly, along with three others, will be given the James Lynah Distinguished Service Award.

Almost 300 Middlebury College students have returned to campus with the start of the fall sports season just around the corner. Practices are underway, with the season opening up on Saturday, September 11th. On that day, the men's and women's soccer teams, along with the field hockey team travel to Tufts, while the cross country teams will race at the Dartmouth Invitational.
