Greer Earns NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship

Lauren Greer (N. Hampton, N.H.) has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. The two-sport standout will receive $7,500 from the NCAA for use towards a graduate program. To be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must have performed with distinction as a member a varsity team at his or her institution. They also must be a senior and carry a GPA of 3.2 or higher. The scholarship is based on academic performance, institutional involvement and volunteer community service. Winners are also considered to be outstanding citizens and excellent role models for the institution and intercollegiate athletics as a whole.
Greer was named the Division III National Player of the Year this past fall in field hockey. The Regional and NESCAC Player of the Year for the past two seasons, she is a three-time All-American. Greer is the NCAA’s all-time leader in points/game with 3.56 and is second with 1.48 goals/contest. She is also tied for third in total goals (111) and is fourth in total points (267) to go along with her 45 assists in 75 career games.
She is a two-time All-NESCAC selection for the women’s hockey team at Middlebury, earning All-American honors as a junior. She finished the season with 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points in 24 games for the Panthers. Greer played in 97 career games at Middlebury, earning 47 goals and 45 assists for 92 points.
