The Panther men's basketball team topped Lyndon State at home last week before going 1-1 at the Manhattanville Tournament. The Panthers picked up a 91-68 win over Lyndon State in Pepin Gym to begin the week. The game marked the first-ever meeting between the two schools, as the Panthers were victorious in their home-opener. Middlebury shot .484 from the floor on the night, including 49 second half points.

The Middlebury College swimming and diving teams opened up their seasons with a busy weekend on the road. The Panthers took on Tufts and Connecticut College on Saturday, before visiting Springfield on Sunday. The men's team lost to Conn. 141-120, fell to Tufts 211-81, while dropping a 156-139 contest with Springfield. The women's squad defeated Conn. 168-127, fell 175-123 to Tufts, before dropping a 159-135 match with Springfield.

The Panther men's squash team took its first road trip of the season, opening with a pair of 9-0 wins over Columbia and Haverford. Middlebury then took on Division I foes Penn. and Princeton, falling 8-1 and 9-0 in those two matches.

The Panther men's hockey team picked up a 4-3 win over Connecticut College in the season-opener for both teams. The Panthers trailed 2-1 before scoring three goals to take a 4-2 advantage, as they out shot the Camels 14-5 in the third period and 33-22 on the night.

The Middlebury women's squash team had a busy weekend as they played four different opponents. The Panthers defeated Columbia 8-1 and Haverford 8-1, before falling 9-0 to both Penn. and Princeton.

The Panther women's hockey team capped off a solid weekend at the Panther/Cardinal Classic in Plattsburgh with a 2-2 tie against the host school. The Cardinals won the shoot-out to capture the tournament title, as #3 Middlebury defeated #1 Elmira and tied #2 Plattsburgh on the road this weekend.

The Middlebury College women's basketball team had an impressive 3-0 week after an 0-2 start. The Panthers picked up their first win of the season with a 79-72 win over Lyndon State in the first-ever meeting between the schools. Middlebury forced 18 turnovers on the night, while shooting .455 from the floor.

The Panther men's soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 4-3 loss to Stevens on penalty kicks (1-1 tie) in an NCAA Sectional final contest. The Panthers end their season with a 15-2-4 record, second most wins in school history. The shootout loss for the Panthers is the first in its last four tries in NCAA play over the past two seasons.

The Middlebury College women's cross country team won its fifth NCAA Championship with a convincing victory at the race held in Hanover, Indiana. The Panthers previously won titles in '00, '01, '03 and '06, earning the 29th national title for Middlebury College since '95. Along with the eight NCAA men's hockey titles, women's cross country, women's lacrosse and women's hockey have each won five national crowns at Middlebury.
