Men's Golf Wins At Trinity

Senior Ashley Miller (Williston, Vt.) shot a 77 to give Middlebury the tournament title on a fifth-place tiebreaker at the Trinity College Golf Shootout played this weekend at TPC River Highlands and Shuttle Meadow Country Club. Both teams shot a 604, followed by Williams (621) and Wesleyan (644.) Bantam sophomore Jay Driscoll was the individual medalist with a two-round score of 140, including a 69 on Saturday at the TPC in Cromwell, Conn.

Trinity and Middlebury were tied after two days, but Miller edged Bantam senior Alec MacColl on the last day by a single stroke. Sophomore Brian Cady (Rye, N.Y.) paced the Panthers with a two-day total of 146, followed by senior Harrison Bane (Marblehead, Mass.) with a 149 and senior Michael McCormick (Oak Park, Ill.) with a 153. Senior Kyle Perez (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) with a 157 and Miller with a 159 rounded out the Middlebury scorers.
