The Middlebury College indoor track teams were in action over the weekend, with the women competing in the N.E.'s at Bowdoin and the men at M.I.T. A top eight finish earned All-New England honors for each athlete.

Sophomore Katy Magill (Boxford, Mass.) set a new school record for the women in the 600, finishing fourth in the event with a time of 1:37.84. Sophomore Kaitlynn Saldanha (Scarborough, Maine) turned in a great time in the 500, finishing second in 2:16.13 to provisionally qualify for NCAA's. Also earning All-N.E. honors were sophomore Erin Toner (New Providence, N.J.) in the mile (5:23.05-8th) and first-year athlete Mia Martinez (Ridgewood, N.J.) in the 55 hurdles (8.92-5th).

The Middlebury women also enjoyed success in relay events, with three different teams with fifth place finishes. The 4x400 team of Magill, sophomore Grace Close (Fox Point, Wis.) along with rookies Julia Sisson (Omaha, Neb.) and Rebecca Fanning (Ipswich, Mass.) finished with a time of 4:07.52. Saldanha, sophomores Sophia Spring (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.) and Christina Kunycky (Marlborough, Mass.), along with rookie Jessi Stevens (Indianapolis, Ind.) earned a time of 9:44.63, good for fifth in the 4x800. The DMR team comprised of Toner, Kunycky, sophomore Alice Wisener (Ridgewood, N.J.) and first-year racer Claire McIlvennie (Ithaca, N.Y.) finished the race with a time of 4:07.52.

Rookie Michael Schmidt (Wilmette, Ill.) led the men's team with a sixth place finish in the 5,000 (15:29.64), earning him All-N.E. honors. Earning the same honors was the men's 4x400 relay team comprised of senior Ben Fowler (Bethesda, Minn.), sophomore Addison Godine (Milton, Mass.), sophomore Connor Wood (Lincolnshire, Ill.), and rookie Jason Mooty (Eden Prarie, Minn.), who finished in fifth place with a time of 3:29.09.
