SWIMMING AND DIVING BATTLE WILLIAMS

The Panther swimming and diving teams battled Williams on Saturday afternoon in the campus natatorium. The Panther men fell 163-134, while the women lost 185-115. Zach Woods (Monroe, N.Y.) had another big weekend for the men, winning three different individual events. The senior captured the 100 back (52.61), 200 back (1:55.62) and the 400 IM (4:17.51). Others winners for the men were first-year racer Nick Daly (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) in the 100 free (48.05) and junior Schuyler Beeman (Guilford, Conn.) in the 50 free (21.71).
Sophomore Emily McDonald (Glenwood Springs, Colo.) won two events to pace the women, capturing the 50 free (24.58) and the 100 free (53.12). First-year diver Meagan Collins (Darien, Conn.) was victorious in both the 1M (241.50) and 3M (286.43) diving competitions, while senior Catherine Suppan (Burlington, Vt.) won the 100 breaststroke (1:08.02).
