MEN'S SQUASH RETURNS TO ACTION

January 12, 2009

The Panther men's squash team returned to action after the break with a pair of 9-0 home losses to Williams and Dartmouth. The Panthers then hit the road on Sunday, dropping a 9-0 match to Bates at Williams.

In Sunday's match, the 9-0 win by 11th-ranked Bates over #18 Middlebury was not indicative of the closely contested play, with six out of the nine Middlebury players pushing their Bates opponents to either tie-breakers or extended games.

Middlebury #4 J.P. Garofalo (Norwalk, Conn.) went the five-game distance in his match before dropping his contest. Middlebury #1 J.P. Sardi (Pleasantville, N.Y.), and #5 Addi DiSesa (Wynnewood, Pa.) also won games in their individual matches.
