The Panther men's squash team had another solid weekend as Middlebury won four of five matches at the Yale Round Robin Tournament. Middlebury defeated Colby 8-1 before dropping a tight 5-4 match to #13 Bowdoin later that night. The next day, the Panthers bounced back with 8-1 wins over George Washington and Connecticut College, before ending the weekend with a 9-0 victory over Wesleyan. The win over the Cardinals avenges a loss just a year ago at nationals.

Junior Micah Wood (Tacoma, Wash.) earned a 4-0 record for Middlebury in the #7 slot over the weekend. Also going undefeated for the Panthers were sophomore Will Piekos (Hamden, Conn.) and rookies Valentin Quan (La Libertad, El Salvador) and Josh Taylor (Doylestown, Pa.). Number one singles player, senior J.P. Sardi (Pleasantville, N.Y.), went 4-1 on the weekend, with wins over the top players from Bowdoin, Wesleyan, George Washington and Colby. He twice came from behind over the weekend to earn 3-2 victories, establishing himself as one of the top players in the NESCAC.
