The Panther indoor track team was in action at the University of Vermont, taking on the Catamounts as well as McGill University of Montreal. The Catamounts won the meet, followed by the Panthers and the Redmen. First-year racer Michael Schmidt (Wilmette, Ill.) set a new school record with a time of 8:45.40 en route to a win in the 3,000 meters.

Also winning for the men was sophomore Frank Sweeney (Canastota, N.Y.) in the 35-lb. weight throw (41'5.25"), sophomore Connor Wood (Lincolnshire, Ill.) in the 500 (1:25.08) and rookie John Montroy (Mahwah, N.J.) in the 55 meter hurdles (8.31). Earning a second place finish for the men was first-year thrower Marc Delaney (Wading River, N.Y.) with a toss of 40' in the shotput.

Sophomore Jennifer Brenes (Lawrence, Mass.) earned wins for the women in both the 55 meter hurdles (8.69) and the long jump (16'4.5"). Also picking up a first place finish was senior Emer Feighery (Westborough, Mass.), who cleared 10' in the pole vault. Senior Kelley Coughlan (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) placed second in the triple jump (36'5.75"), as did sophomore Katy Magill (Boxford, Mass.) in the 600 (1:43.33) and rookie Margo Cramer (Seattle, Wash.) in the 3,000 meters (11:09.94).
