TRACK & FIELD OPENS SEASON IN CALIFORNIA

The Panther track and field teams competed twice over spring break at Pt. Loma University in San Diego. In the opening races of the spring, sophomores Elizabeth Faust (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) and Amanda Lee (Lincoln, Neb.) each picked up wins. Faust won the high jump by clearing 4'11", while Lee was the victor in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 11:46.05. Earning second place finishes were senior Jennifer Brenes (Lawrence, Mass.) in the 100 hurdles (15.32) and sophomore Corinne Hundt (Warren, N.J.) in the javelin (93'2"), while sophomore Erin Toner (New Providence, N.J.) came in third in the 1500 (4:45.23). Finishing in third place were sophomore Alice Wisener (Ridgewood, N.J.) in the 400 hurdles (1:05.35), senior Emer Feighery (Westborough, Mass.) in the pole vault (9'9.25") and Faust in the high jump (4'11").

On the men's side, sophomore Kristoffer Williams (Fairport, N.Y.) finished tied for second in the pole vault (14'11"), while rookie John Montroy (Mahwah, N.J.) placed third in the 110 hurdles (15.38) and fifth in the 400 hurdles (57.93). First-year racer Jason Mooty (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) came in fourth in the 400 hurdles (57.10), sophomore Jack Terrett (Sherborn, Mass.) placed fifth in the 5,000 (15:36), while senior Chandler Koglmeier (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished fifth in the hammer (144'11").
