MEN'S GOLF QUALIFIES FOR NESCAC CHAMPIONSHIP

The Panther men's golf team has qualified for the 2010 NESCAC Championships after a fourth place finish at the fall qualifier. Williams hosted the meet and finished first with a 595, earning the right to host the four-team championship this spring. Hamilton finished second with a 597, followed by Trinity (603) and Middlebury (608).

First-year player Andrew Emerson (Pelham, N.Y.) led the Panthers with a 73 and 75 for a two-day total of 148, good for a third place tie. Tied for seventh and just a stroke behind with a 149 was junior Jimmy Levins (Rutland, Vt.), followed by first-year player William Prince (New Canaan, Conn.) with a 151. Seniors Jesse Keenan (Hadley, N.Y.) (160) and Ben Kunofsky (Dallas, Texas) (164) rounded out the Middlebury squad.
